I’ve taken these pictures of meat and fish, cooked and raw, over the years at markets, restaurants, and homes. Some are appetizing and some are not. The pig head picture is my personal favorite. A few years ago I put it on a photo site and it was censored.

This is what I got in a town near Mt. Fuji, Japan, when I asked for an “American style” hamburger. It’s in sauce and there is a hard-boiled egg on top.

At first I was shocked, then I got hungry. Now I am just impressed with the images… you have a great eye.

Fascinating that the image of pigs heads was censored.

Made me look for some quotes by photographer Diane Arbus

Now I remember why I ended up a vegetarian when I was traveling regularly into Mexico.

  4. I need a favor. I know you are busy but please write a new post. Everytime I click on your blog to look for new material, I see two scalped hogs jumping out at me. Scares me. Ruins my day. But, doesn’t wreck my appetite.
